The house
Everything bottled at Bodegas Jacques & Cie has bubbles. The house makes only traditional-method sparkling wine in the Tequisquiapan valley, with the second fermentation in the bottle inside an underground cellar that the press places about 82 ft (25 m) underground.
It presents itself as a house with French DNA and Mexican blood. In 1873, according to the house, an ancestor of the Jacques family bought a vineyard in the Barcelonnette valley, in the French Alps, and generations later Joseph Jacques planted his own in Tequisquiapan. In 2025 the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles awarded silver medals to its Brut and its Extra Brut, both from the 2023 vintage.
The wines
Only traditional-method sparkling wine, aged on the lees. The range runs from the Brut Nature, with no added sugar, to the sweeter Néctar, by way of the Brut, the Extra Brut, and the Brut Rosé.
