The house

Valentín Reynoso learned viticulture during the years he lived in California, and in March 2014 he planted Cerca Blanca on his father's land, less than fifteen minutes from Jalostotitlán. Today he grows fourteen varieties, among them Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier.

The climate of Los Altos is semiarid, with winters that drop below freezing and make the vine rest, and Reynoso credits that for the character of his wines, among them the Terralta and Cenzontle lines. On weekends, by reservation, the ranch offers an explanation of the growing, a walk around the property, and a tasting with cheeses and cured meats, and in July and August it celebrates the harvest with grape cutting.
