The house
There is a Valle de Guadalupe in Los Altos de Jalisco, far from the one in Baja California, and there a family with more than a century and a half in dairy and cattle ranching changed course in 2017. It planted three hectares (about 7.4 acres) of vines and built its own winery, which makes in house what it harvests.
The vineyards sit at about 6,000 ft (1,830 m), on soil of volcanic origin. The house works with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Malbec, in young wines and wines for aging, in short runs, with the harvest and the selection done by hand.
