The house
Norte 32 takes its name from a coordinate: the 32nd parallel north, which, according to the winery, crosses its land in Guadalupe Valley. Aviation captain Óscar Obregón founded it in 2000 when he retired, as a second life with his family. The grapes are hand-selected from vineyards in Francisco Zarco, with sandy soil, Pacific breezes, and a wide swing in temperature between day and night.
It bottles two lines. The one that carries the winery's name has Etiqueta Blanca, a Cabernet Sauvignon, Etiqueta Negra, a Tempranillo with Syrah, and Flor de Norte 32, a Chardonnay. The top line, Teziano, adds a Cabernet Sauvignon with 13 to 18 months in French oak, a Nebbiolo, a Syrah, and a Tempranillo, its newest release. It does not publish hours or a visiting policy, and orders are placed through Instagram.
