The house
Reynaldo Rodríguez makes wine on the same El Porvenir land where his grandfather planted a vineyard, and that three-generation thread is what organizes Quinta Monasterio. He makes reds from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Tempranillo, plus a Chardonnay, in artisan production within Guadalupe Valley (Valle de Guadalupe).
This is a visit for staying put. There are cabins on the property, facing the vineyard, and a spa that offers vinotherapy. It opens Thursday through Sunday, and visits are requested in advance through the contact form on the winery's website. It is closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
