The house

Two wine zones of southern Coahuila fit in one brand, Guidova, with grapes from the Valle de Parras and the Sierra de Arteaga. At the end of July 2026 it opened its winery house in the ejido Chapultepec (an ejido is land held by a farming community), in the sierra, as a new stop on the state route Vinos y Dinos, with Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas at the opening.

It was founded in 2022 by the engineers Jorge del Bosque, Alberto del Bosque, and José Trillo Rivas, an agronomist trained in Spain who is both a partner and the winemaker. They farm about 17 acres (7 hectares) in Parras, in the south of the state, at about 5,500 ft (1,685 m), and about 32 acres (13 hectares) in the sierra, in the southeast, above 6,500 ft (2,000 m). Malbec, Merlot, and Tempranillo are the base, and in the higher part Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and Verdejo grow.

The house started with three reds. Two are varietals, a Malbec and a Cabernet Sauvignon, and the third, Guidova 30, is a blend of Petit Verdot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Malbec spends twelve months in French oak barrels before it goes to market.

Guided tours are given at the house in the sierra, always by reservation. The catalog lets you put the Parras grapes and the mountain grapes side by side, in a brand with barely four years behind it.
