Mexico Wine Harvest Festivals: Your October and November 2026 Calendar

Wine festivals in October and November 2026, with confirmed or corroborated dates in Guanajuato, Querétaro, Tlaxcala, Mexico City and Quintana Roo.

Rows of vines with reddish autumn leaves, a cart of visitors at the edge of the vineyard and a leafy tree under afternoon clouds, at Tierra de Luz Hacienda Vinícola in Guanajuato.

In the Bajío, the highland region of central Mexico, the grape harvest winds down slowly. While the last harvest parties are still going on among the vines of Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende, wine is also moving into the plazas: to Corregidora, to the streets of Val'Quirico, to the historic center of Guanajuato. If you are looking for a wine festival in October 2026, or one in November, our events calendar has eight dates between September 26 and November 21, counting the Vendimias Guanajuato season, which is still running. Halfway through, on October 7, comes Mexican Wine Day.

Seven of them have a date confirmed by the organizer or the state tourism office, and one has a date corroborated by independent sources. Below you will find the full calendar, what each level of confirmation means, how to choose based on where you are starting from, and how to handle the weekend of October 17 and 18, when four festivals land in four states.

Harvest and wine festival calendar, fall 2026

What do confirmed date and corroborated date mean?

In our events calendar, a confirmed date is one published by the organizer or by the state tourism office. A corroborated date is one that at least two independent sources announced in agreement, but that we have not yet seen on a channel run by the organizer. It has backing, though it is not the last word. If you are traveling for a corroborated event, check its official account a few days before you leave.

Each event page links its sources and shows the date we verified the details, which for every event in this calendar was September 23, 2026. If something is missing from an event page, such as a schedule or a ticket price, it is because we could not confirm it. Ask the organizer.

What happens at a harvest festival?

Vendimia is the grape harvest, and its festivals celebrate that moment of the year. The format changes from one winery to the next. The official presentation of Vendimias Guanajuato sums up what the season offers as a whole, although not every date includes the same things:

  • Grape stomping, for anyone who wants to put their feet into the harvest.
  • Vineyard tours and tastings.
  • Food and music.
  • Meetings with the producers.

A festival like Aire Tinto, Mientras Tanto un Vino or Catando México works differently. Many wineries gather in one place, so you taste more and compare better, but you talk less with each producer. A harvest party at a vineyard is the opposite scale. This calendar has both, and it helps to know which one you want before you buy a ticket.

September: a harvest party at the winery, in Dolores Hidalgo

On Saturday, September 26, Viñedo Los Arcángeles celebrates the ninth edition of its harvest party at its own vineyard in Dolores Hidalgo, as part of the official Vendimias Guanajuato 2026 program. A harvest party at the producer's home is a different scale from a multi-winery festival. You see the vineyard in the middle of picking and taste the wine where it is made, with the people who make it. The official announcement does not give a program, schedule or price, so check with the vineyard before you travel.

If you are spending the night in the area, our directory lists wineries in the same municipality, such as Viñedos Cuna de Tierra, on the highway to San Luis de la Paz, or Tres Raíces, on the road that links Dolores Hidalgo with San Miguel de Allende. All the wineries of the state are on the Guanajuato wineries page, and you will find how to combine them into a weekend in our Guanajuato wine route guide.

October in Guanajuato: the final stretch of Vendimias Guanajuato

The Vendimias Guanajuato 2026 season began on August 1 and adds up to 16 experiences. In mid-September, according to the state tourism department, eight were left. Each venue runs its own, with its own format, schedule, price and capacity, so check each one before you buy. These are the October dates:

  • Saturday, October 3: Vendimia Casa Reyes, in Dolores Hidalgo, and Entre Vides y Nubes, at Viña del Cielo, Atotonilco, in San Miguel de Allende.
  • Friday, October 9: 4th Festival de la Vendimia Universitaria UTSMA, in San Miguel de Allende.
  • Saturday, October 10: La Santa Cosecha, at La Santa Vid, in San Miguel de Allende, and Guanajuato Tierra de Vinos, at the Museo del Vino in Dolores Hidalgo.
  • Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18: Mientras Tanto un Vino, at Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario in Silao, which closes the season.

The state comes to this finale with credentials. Its tourism department presents it as the country's fourth wine producer, with more than 650 medals in national and international competitions. If you are going to San Miguel de Allende for one of these dates, there are wineries with listings close by, such as Bodega Dos Búhos, on the edge of town, and Vinícola Toyan, at kilometer 8.5 of the highway to Querétaro. And if you are arriving from León, Tierra de Luz Hacienda Vinícola is about 25 minutes from that city, according to its listing.

October 17 and 18: four festivals the same weekend

This is the busiest weekend of the fall in our calendar. Here is how each option looks:

  • Festival del Vino Queretano, Plaza Gran Cué, Corregidora, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18. This is the official close of the Querétaro harvest season, which began on June 6. It is organized by the Clúster Vitivinícola de Querétaro (the Querétaro wine-industry cluster), with support from the state tourism department, to bring the state's wine houses together in one place. The date and venue are confirmed on the festival's official account. The previous edition, the fifth, was also held in Corregidora, in October 2025.
  • Mientras Tanto un Vino, Silao, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18. The tenth edition of the festival that brings Guanajuato producers together at Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario and closes Vendimias Guanajuato. In 2025 it combined tastings, music and an autumn pumpkin festival. The 2026 program has not yet appeared in the sources we checked.
  • Aire Tinto, Val'Quirico, Tlaxcala, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18. The fourth edition of a wine, food and music festival that fills the streets and plazas of Val'Quirico. In 2025 it brought together more than 50 Mexican and foreign wineries. The 2026 list has not yet appeared in the sources we checked, and tickets are sold on its official site. For what to expect, how to get there and where to sleep, see our guide to Aire Tinto in Val'Quirico.
  • Wine Fest XI, Playa del Carmen, Saturday 17, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The eleventh edition of the festival run by The Fives Hotels & Residences, which moves to a new venue, Distrito Xcalacoco Beach. The organizer announces more than 80 labels at tasting stations, plus food.

If you choose the Querétaro festival, use the trip to tour the wine route at an easy pace. Our guide to Querétaro vineyards lists the state's wineries by municipality, with what each one offers.

Which one fits, depending on where you start?

  • From Mexico City: the Querétaro festival, in Corregidora, a few minutes from Querétaro city, and Aire Tinto, in Tlaxcala, are the two nearby options.
  • From Querétaro: the Corregidora festival is the hometown one, a few minutes from the capital, and with an extra night you can add visits to wineries along the Querétaro route.
  • From León, the city of Guanajuato or the Guanajuato side of the Bajío: Mientras Tanto un Vino brings the state's wine together in one place.
  • From Puebla or Tlaxcala: Aire Tinto, in Val'Quirico.
  • On the Riviera Maya: Wine Fest XI, an evening of tasting and cooking.

Tip

If you plan to string two festivals together on the same weekend, work out the real travel times and name someone who will not drink to drive. One festival done well is worth more than two done in a rush.

November: Food & Wine Festival in the capital and Catando México in Guanajuato

The Food & Wine Festival 2026 arrives on Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, at the Jardines de Campo Marte in Mexico City, with the theme Mirando al Sur (Looking South). It works more as a food fair you stroll with a glass in hand than as a wine festival. It announces more than 80 chefs, cooking from Costa Rica, Roatán and Peru, wines from Uruguay, Chile and Argentina, an area devoted to grilled meats and the presentation of the Best New Chefs 2026 from Food & Wine en Español magazine. Its date is corroborated by independent media. For schedules and ticket types, see its official site.

Two weeks later, Catando México returns to the historic center of the city of Guanajuato on Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21. The organizer presents it as a walk through more than 300 labels from producers and winemakers of different regions of the country, with tastings, guided workshops, food and music, and it is already selling tickets on the sales page linked from its site. It is a good excuse to spend the weekend in a World Heritage city. Book your lodging early and bring a jacket, because November nights in Guanajuato can be cool. Since the two festivals fall on different weekends, anyone traveling from the capital can do both.

What about the harvest festivals in Guadalupe Valley, Parras or Aguascalientes?

In Baja California the big wine party has already happened. The Fiestas de la Vendimia (the harvest festival) 2026, the 36th edition, ran from August 5 to 30 in Guadalupe Valley (Valle de Guadalupe), organized by Provino Baja California, with more than 35 activities. This fall calendar has no events in Baja California, Coahuila or Aguascalientes. If you are traveling to those regions in these weeks, the plan is to visit their wineries by reservation (how to book a visit, step by step). You will find them in our directory, sorted by region, and if you want to sleep next to the vines, our list of wineries with lodging has the 23 that offer it.

In Querétaro, besides the closing festival, several wineries hold their own harvest celebration during the season. Viñedos Los Rosales does it every year, and the ones at Hacienda Tovares and Tierra de Alonso appear on the Querétaro state tourism calendar. Confirm the dates directly with each winery.

Tickets, transportation and clothes: how to arrive ready for a wine festival

A wine festival is more enjoyable when the logistics are sorted out before the first glass. Here is the short list:

  • Buy only through official channels: the Aire Tinto site, the sales page linked from Catando México or the Wine Fest XI organizer's page. Be wary of resales on social media.
  • At vineyard harvest parties, each venue sells separately: check schedule, price and capacity directly with it.
  • Book lodging early: Tequisquiapan gets a lot of weekend tourism, and for Catando México it pays to sort out your night in advance.
  • Name a designated driver or hire transportation, especially if you plan to visit several venues on the same day.
  • Dress for the outdoors: comfortable shoes and a light jacket for the evening at Aire Tinto, protection from sun or rain at Campo Marte and a jacket for the Guanajuato nights.
  • Carry a government-issued ID and confirm each event's age policy. All of them include alcoholic drinks.

Pick your weekend, open the event page in our wine events calendar and check its official channel a week before you leave, since that is where venues, schedules and last-minute changes are posted. Then book your night. And if no date works for you, the wineries keep receiving visitors outside the season. Our directory lists all of them, state by state, with their contact details.
