La Primera Parada de Santa (Santa's First Stop) is Puerta del Lobo's Christmas experience, at the wine tourism park in El Marqués, Querétaro. According to the vineyard's official calendar, there are four dates in 2026: Saturday, December 12, Sunday, December 13, Saturday, December 19, and Sunday, December 20. It is not a continuous nine-day period.
The idea is that Santa makes his first stop in the vineyard's cellar: children meet him and hand him their letter among the barrels, while adults taste the house wines, with mulled wine included. The Querétaro tourism office has also promoted it.
The 2026 schedule, price, and reservation system are not yet confirmed: the vineyard's experiences page mentions a different date, without a year, and that difference remains to be resolved. December afternoons on the high plateau of Querétaro are cold, so dress warmly.
