The house
Two states fit in one bottle of Donato. The Gran Ensamble, a limited edition, joins Syrah, Malbec, and Tempranillo from the Valle de Colón, in Querétaro, and from Guadalupe Valley, in Baja California. The house, also known as Cavas Donato, presents itself as a family business and dedicates its work to the memory of the grandfather. Its range includes a white sparkling wine and a rosé one, reserve reds of Merlot and Syrah, and a port-style wine that appears in the Guía Peñín (a Spanish wine guide).

It is in San Martín, in the municipality of Colón, on the road from the Bernal crossroads to Ezequiel Montes, with the Peña in view. The visit revolves around the table, with a restaurant, breakfasts in the vineyard from Friday through Sunday, tours, and halls for events. Experiences have set times, and the house asks you to arrive a quarter of an hour early.
The wines
Its reds are blends of Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, and Tempranillo, with a reserve line and a Gran Ensamble that joins grapes from Querétaro and Baja California. Two sparkling wines, white and rosé, and a port-style wine complete the range.
