The house
A few miles from the Pacific, in Todos Santos, Las Tinajas planted vines in 2017 with a long list of varieties that includes Chardonnay, Vermentino, Grenache, Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Nebbiolo. The first bottles came out in 2019, and the house presents itself as the first winery in Baja California Sur.
Alongside its grape wines it makes handcrafted wines from ingredients of the peninsula, such as damiana, hibiscus, and mango. It offers a tour of its experimental vineyard and the winery, and a tasting of reds, whites, and rosés with tapas, at the km 50 marker of the highway from Todos Santos to La Paz.
