The house
Valle de Santo Domingo, in Comondú, is vegetable and forage country in the middle of the Baja California Sur desert. There five farmers from the municipality put up their own capital to plant vines and release a commercial wine. The brand, Desert Wine 5, joins the two things, the desert and the five partners.
The grapes are harvested in the valley and, according to the local press, the wine is made in Ensenada, in reds and whites that the house sells mostly in the region and to restaurants. Every summer it opens the vineyard for its harvest festival, and in June 2025 it presented a new red label there, with support from the state government.
