The house
James Taylor, a Californian, decided he would make one wine and that it would be Tempranillo. With Hilda Pacheco he founded Trevista Vineyards in Ejido El Porvenir, in Guadalupe Valley (Valle de Guadalupe), where the vineyard is worked with vermicompost and organic, sustainable soil management. The Tempranillo ages in American oak barrels.
The tastings are called Premium Wine and Tapas. Each is a vertical of Tempranillo vintages, meaning several years of the same wine, served with house tapas on Saturdays. They are by appointment, booked by email. The winery also hosts private dinners and events on Parcel 18.
