The house
Sixty-four acres (26 hectares) of farmland, and only 3.7 acres (1.5 hectares) with vines. That is how Viña Gamar was born in 2017, in La Esperanza, municipality of Dolores Hidalgo. The house says it seeks traditionally fermented wines with as little human intervention as possible.
Eight varieties share that space: Nebbiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Tempranillo, Malbec, Merlot, and Chardonnay. Its 2021 Syrah spent a year in white oak barrels, and the house also offers bottles with a custom label. In August 2026 it held the second edition of Aromas de Vendimia (Harvest Aromas), part of the state's official calendar.
