The place
The Museo del Vino de Guanajuato (Guanajuato Wine Museum), at Calle Hidalgo 12 in downtown Dolores Hidalgo, tells the story of the state's wine culture and of the producers of the Valle de la Independencia. Its five interactive rooms cover the history of wine, fieldwork and the life cycle of the vine, winemaking, and barrels, corks, and bottles, with virtual tastings led by specialists. On the way out, the labels produced in Guanajuato can be bought on the spot.
