Editorial review · reviewed on October 11, 2026Two silver medals from the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2026 reached Viña del Gran Padre before its first vendimia, which the house celebrated on August 1 of that year and which opened the Vendimias Guanajuato season. The medals went to the 2022 MEXI Cabernet Franc and to the 21 11, a Sauvignon Blanc from the 2024 vintage.
The house is in El Durazno, a community in the municipality of Dolores Hidalgo, and presents itself as a producer of handcrafted wine. Its MEXI line covers varietals of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, and the 21 11 is its white.
