The house

Shimul means clan in Yuman, and the clan is the family of Álvaro Ptacnik, who now makes wine with his daughter Mirentxu. It all began in 1995 with Albarolo, a Guadalupe Valley Nebbiolo aged 12 months in barrel that remains the signature wine of the house.

The lineup continues with Franky and Rumorosa, two Carignan reds, Kórima, built on Mission, and blends such as Yumano. At Rancho Pet'ay, in El Porvenir, you can book tastings of wine and olive oil, as well as meals, always by appointment.
