The museum tells the story of wine in Mexico and in Baja California, from growing the grape to making the wine. It opened on August 3, 2012 and spreads its permanent collection over two levels, with rooms on history, industry, identity and art. In the last one, El Vino y el Arte (Wine and Art), there are 43 pieces by 24 artists. Besides the permanent collection, it presents temporary exhibitions. Outside are a themed garden and a terrace with views of the valley, along with the museum shop, the café and a wine shop stocked with bottles from more than 50 wineries in the region. There is also a restaurant inside the facilities, and its halls are rented for weddings, conferences and other events. It is on the Tecate to Ensenada highway, kilometer 81.3, in Francisco Zarco, within Guadalupe Valley, and you reach it by the federal highway that joins Tecate and Ensenada. The hours in circulation vary by source, so confirm with the museum before you go.
