The house
Vines, olive trees, and lavender share the La Santísima Trinidad estate, on the road from San Miguel de Allende to Dolores Hidalgo. Among the rows there is also a winery, a boutique hotel, a restaurant, a polo field, and a residential development. The house leads a group with other estates in the area, among them Viñedo San Lucas and, more recently, Viñedos Santa Catalina.
The winery presented its first harvest in 2015 and picks by hand. Its vines are divided between the municipalities of Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende, at about 6,300 ft (1,920 m). Merlot, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Zinfandel grow there, among others, and the house also bottles Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Sauvignon Blanc. According to the press, the wines rest in barrel between six and eighteen months, depending on the variety.
A whole day fits on the estate. Guided tastings run between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., with afternoon times too on Fridays and Saturdays. The day can also include lunch by a lake, the spa, the pool, and bikes to ride among the vines. If you want to stay, you sleep in the suites of the boutique hotel. There are also olive and lavender workshops.
In the glass, the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc won a gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in 2024.
