Editorial review · reviewed on October 11, 2026The Camino de Vinos hotel occupies the ruins of the Ex Hacienda de Jesús y María, a former ore-processing hacienda, in the community of Sangre de Cristo, in the Guanajuato mountains and about 5 miles (8 km) from Cerro del Cubilete. The vineyard climbs the mountainside, at about 7,870 ft (2,400 m).
The project aims to be self-sustaining and to work with the area's mining community. It offers tastings and vineyard tours, 25 rooms with views of the vines and the Cristo Rey monument, a chapel, a pool, and two restaurants: El Tinto, with chef-driven cooking, and El Tronco, with traditional cooking.
