Editorial review · reviewed on October 11, 2026Jorge Ríos Leal, a chemical engineer with a specialty in enology from the University of Bordeaux, founded Casa Leal in 1959, in Jesús María, Aguascalientes, and went on to preside over the state's winegrowers. The house has made wine, spirits, and grape concentrate for more than sixty years.
Its grape is Ruby Cabernet, a California cross of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan, which grows at about 6,000 ft (1,830 m) and gives white and red wines, like its Leal Blanc de Noir. The tour shows the vineyard, the crushing, the fermentation, and the aging rooms, and the tasting is accompanied by regional cheeses.
