The house

In 2020, Pozo de Luna's 2015 Malbec won a Grand Gold at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. That medal came from a vineyard of about 37 acres (15 hectares) in the semidesert of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, at 6,135 ft (1,870 m), right next to the capital of San Luis Potosí.

Two friends from San Luis Potosí, Manuel Muñiz Werge and José Cerrillo Chowell, had the land and the passion, and decided to make their own wine. To plant, they brought vines from France, guided by viticulturist Joaquín Madero Tamargo. In 2021 the house's 2016 Merlot won the Gold Bacchus (Bacchus de Oro) in Madrid.

In the semidesert climate of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, both whites and reds ripen. The Single Vineyard collection separates the labels by plot, with Syrah, Malbec, and Merlot on one side and Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc on the other, while El Ensamble joins Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah with 14 months in new barrels.

The house can also be visited. A basic tour covers the vineyard, the winemaking hall, and the cellar, with a tasting of two labels, and there is another for children from 3 to 17 years old, the workshop Haz tu propio vino (Make Your Own Wine), and a vendimia festival that in 2025 was held on September 6. Experiences are booked online, and a restaurant operates inside the vineyard.

The wines

Each variety is bottled by plot in the Single Vineyard collection, and the long-aging blend is reserved for El Ensamble, which goes through new French and American oak barrels.
