Editorial review · reviewed on October 11, 2026A cellar with two stone vaults and two marble bars is the center of Haciendas Las Ánimas, a small family winery that has made wine since 2010 near the km 83 marker of the Tecate to Ensenada highway, in Guadalupe Valley (Valle de Guadalupe). Tastings happen there, along with talks on wine culture.
The property has gardens, a lake, and several spots for looking out over the valley. On the esplanade are a café, La Cocina, and the Tejabán, and the restaurant serves Mediterranean cooking. The house also sells regional products such as cheeses, olives, oils, and honey. To visit the cellar, write ahead, because the website asks for a message in order to give the details.
