The place
BajaViajes is a Tijuana operator with tours of Guadalupe Valley, Santo Tomás, and Ojos Negros. Its shared one-day tour leaves downtown Tijuana at 9 a.m. and visits three wineries, with tastings of young wines and of artisanal products such as cheese, bread, jams, olive oil, dressings, and olives. There is also a basic version that leaves from Tijuana or Rosarito, with daily departures for a minimum of two passengers, and a private premium tour for groups of two to ten people, which lets you choose two experiences at larger wineries. Another trip combines La Bufadora with the valley, and a three-day package called Queso, Pan y Vino includes lodging in Ensenada. The company handles the transportation over dirt roads, and some departures pick up at the Tijuana border crossings.
