The house

Rows of vines run between the houses. Tierra Tinta conceived the vineyard and the residential development as a single landscape in El Cariñán, a community west of the city of Aguascalientes, where more than 25 acres (10 hectares) of vines now grow next to green areas and a winery with an underground cellar.

The architecture is by Francisco Gutiérrez, of Coa Arquitectura, who integrated the buildings into the vineyard landscape. The cellar, built underground, holds the public part. Tastings with pairings are held there, which the state government includes in the calendar of its wine route, and harvest festivals are celebrated in season.

Its wines are grouped in two lines, Corteza and Chisguete. Corteza runs from the Chardonnay white to the rosé, made with red grapes that are destemmed, pressed, and cold-fermented in steel, and to the Tempranillo and Malbec reds. Apart stands Tarot I, a Sangiovese from the 2024 vintage. There are tastings of three or six glasses.

The food menu, Friday through Sunday, is grill and fire cooking, with charcoal cuts and boards of cold cuts and cheeses. It is ten minutes from the historic center and twenty from the airport, according to the house, and the tasting with pairing in the cellar is booked ahead through its online form.
