The house

Between the Popocatépetl and the Iztaccíhuatl, in San Andrés Calpan, a mineral soil of volcanic origin supports a vineyard whose owners bet mainly on Pinot Noir. It began in 2019, as part of an effort to recover a winemaking tradition that Puebla had lost, and it bottles three reds of its own among seven labels, because the other four come from collaborations with other vineyards of the state.

Tapial, a Pinot Noir with six months in barrel, is one of its own, and Víntich, a Sauvignon Blanc, comes from the collaborations. The house has a tasting terrace with weekend service and advance reservation, with a tasting of wines with tapas, a walk through the vineyard, a paired meal, wood-fired pizza or a picnic on the grass. It is about 35 minutes from downtown Puebla.
