The place
Viajes y Enoturismo says it is the state's first wine tourism and agritourism tour operator, and that it created in Tequisquiapan, in 2007, the concept of the Querétaro Cheese and Wine Route. It serves visitors on Calle Juárez Poniente, one block from the Miguel Hidalgo garden, and has a gourmet and artisanal products shop on the Juárez pedestrian walk. Seven tours leave from that office with a minimum of two people, between 10 a.m. and noon. They are built with stops at the Bocanegra cheese cellar, the La Biquette goat cheese dairy, Viñedos Azteca, Bodegas de Cote, the Terra Salvador winery, and Finca Sala Vivé, where you taste sparkling wine in cellars 82 ft (25 m) deep, and close at the shop with a tasting of dressings, bread, and dessert wine. One includes Bernal, with an hour and twenty minutes of free time, and another ends with a three-course Italian dinner and two wines in Tequisquiapan. Some are only for people over 18 and all are booked 24 hours ahead. It also organizes sunrise balloon flights, a tour to the opal mines, incentive trips, and packages with lodging in Tequisquiapan, San Juan del Río, or the city of Querétaro, among them the Hotel Bello Atardecer, which it operates.
