The place
Oeno Wine Lodge is at kilometer 11.5 of the road from Francisco Zarco to El Tigre, in the El Porvenir district. Its rooms range from the Rock, with stone walls that keep the rooms cool, to the Village, with wood finishes, and the Vineyard, cabins with a private terrace facing the vines. The two-bedroom suite has its own living room and suits a family or two couples. The restaurant i-Pétra sits among large rocks, with six terraces, and cooks fish, seafood, organic vegetables and wood-fired meats. It is open only some days, so ask about the hours before booking a table. The hotel also has a bar and hosts outdoor events. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and checkout is at noon. Pets are not allowed. A small group can sleep beside the vineyard and have dinner without leaving the property.
