The place
Casa Mayoral spreads across about 25 acres (10 hectares) in San Antonio de las Minas, on the Tecate to Ensenada highway, at the km 88.5 marker. It opened in 2014 with a farm feel and today offers several ways to stay: suite cabins with a private terrace for up to three people, studios with kitchens, a family cabin with a loft for four, and Casa Los Naranjos, about 650 square feet (60 sq m), with two bedrooms and a terrace. There is another house with a view, and it can also be rented by the month. Breakfast comes from the house, Mexican style, with vegetarian and vegan options. On request the house arranges massages, private-chef dinners, and guided tours of Guadalupe Valley (Valle de Guadalupe). Pets are welcome, and with 25 acres around, the dog has room to roam. San Antonio de las Minas is the entrance to the valley for anyone coming up from Ensenada, so the first wineries on the route are on the same highway. Reserve by phone or email.
