The place

Casa de los Siete Patios is an oceanfront hacienda at kilometer 99.75 of the scenic toll road from Tijuana to Ensenada, just past the San Miguel toll booth, north of the city. It is mainly a wedding and event venue, with seven patios set among gardens, pines and eucalyptus trees, and the whole house can also be rented for a stay. The hacienda places itself a few minutes from downtown Ensenada and from the Guadalupe Valley wine route. A stay includes four suites with six bedrooms and private bathrooms for 12 guests, daily breakfast, staff and housekeeping 12 hours a day, internet and use of the pool, the jacuzzi, the terraces, the glass fire pits and the children's play area. For wine travelers, the house offers a concierge service that arranges winery visits and transportation, and lunch and dinner can be ordered at extra cost from El Rey Sol, the restaurant run by the same group since 1947. Check-in is at 4 p.m. and checkout at 11 a.m. It is a good fit for families or groups of friends who want an entire house by the ocean as a base for touring the wineries, rather than for a couple looking for a single room. Since it is also an event venue, confirm dates directly with the house.
