The place
At the corner of Avenida López Mateos, also called Calle Primera, and Alvarado, in downtown Ensenada, stands Sabina Bandera's seafood cart. Its fame comes from the tostadas (crisp tortillas piled with seafood) and the cocktails that you eat right there, on the street. Across the avenue, at 917 López Mateos, is Sabina, the sit-down restaurant the same cook opened later. The 2026 Michelin Guide Mexico gave a Bib Gourmand to Sabina, not to the cart: they are two different places, one facing the other. There is no official published schedule, so the practical move is to check its Facebook page the same day. On the same Avenida Alvarado is another seafood stop in this guide, Mariscos El Güero.
