The house

Vinos MagBel makes wine in a small winery on Calle Principal in Francisco Zarco, the Guadalupe Valley (Valle de Guadalupe) town that stretches along the highway from Tecate to Ensenada. It works with Nebbiolo, Merlot, and Malbec, three red grapes, and from them came a 2009 Nebbiolo and a 2010 Merlot reviewed by Wine Enthusiast magazine.

According to the details published by Bodegas de México and the Ruta del Vino de Baja California, it is open Thursday through Sunday, from noon to 6 p.m. The house has no website of its own where you can confirm that, so call before you go.
