The house

For more than thirty years the Chávez family grew beans, corn, and apple trees in Soto Máynez, in the municipality of Namiquipa, Chihuahua. In 2015 the third generation put vines on that same land, at about 6,300 ft (1,930 m) in elevation, on a clay and sandy soil rich in organic matter. It comes to about 10 acres (4 hectares) with seven varieties, and the house talks about hot days and cold nights.

Five labels come from there. The whites are 7 Cuevas, from Riesling, and Laguna Alta, from Chardonnay. The reds are Pinabete, from Cabernet Sauvignon, and Arizonica, from Malbec, and the rosé is called Malú. The harvest festival is the date to visit the vineyard, September 13 in 2025 and August 15 in 2026, and in June 2026 the house took part in Vinorte, the Chihuahua wine festival.
