The house

In the early 1900s, according to the house, Rancho La Turbina used water power to generate the region's first electricity, in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua. A century later, the family that works it planted its first vines there, in 2020, and opened a vineyard and winery in the Valle de Paquimé.

It offers guided tastings, tours of the vineyard and the winery, and pairings with local products, and it lodges guests in four cabins with a pool, each dedicated to one of its craft wines. Every year it organizes the Fiesta de la Vendimia del Valle de Paquimé (the harvest festival). It is a few minutes from the Paquimé archaeological site and close to the pottery town of Mata Ortiz.
