Editorial review · reviewed on October 11, 2026The Cadereyta de Montes valley is where the Querétaro semidesert begins to climb toward the Sierra Gorda, and there, since 2015, Viña del Cielo has built a complex of vineyard, winery, and hotel in a contemporary Mediterranean style. It is surrounded by about 25 acres (10 hectares) of vines and two lakes.
The wines ferment in temperature-controlled tanks and rest in a computer-monitored barrel room, which is also where they are tasted. Next to the winery are rooms and loft-style chalets, a pool, a restaurant, and halls for weddings and events. According to the house, the Querétaro Intercontinental Airport is about 25 minutes away.
