The house
Editorial review · reviewed on October 11, 2026Damián Aarón Porras Flores has spent more than a decade in Chihuahua wine. He chairs the state's grape Sistema Producto committee and the Asociación Vitivinícola, teaches and does research at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, and founded Casa Porras around 2021 as his family's winery in Aldama, east of the capital.
The house runs guided experiences that tell the story of the region's wine and sotol (a regional spirit), with Aldama cooking, plus tastings with dinner, pairings, and live music nights. In June 2026 it was among the producers at Vinorte, the Chihuahua wine festival.
