The place
Rubí is at the corner of Sonora and Amsterdam, facing Parque México, and almost everything in it is red, from the walls to the light. It is the sister bar of Bijou and specializes in what comes from the grape, with wine, vermouth, port, sherry, and prosecco. There is no gin or rum at the bar, and the drink is chosen by talking with whoever is serving. The cocktails use precise techniques and clean, almost undecorated presentations, and always include a grape ingredient. Tuesday through Saturday it closes at midnight, and on Sunday at 10 p.m.
