The Festival del Café, Chocolate y Vino (Coffee, Chocolate and Wine Festival) has announced its next stop in Ajijic, on the shore of Lake Chapala, for Saturday, January 16, and Sunday, January 17, 2027. It is a January fixture in town: in 2026 it held its fifth edition there, on January 17 and 18, along the malecón (lakeside promenade).
In past editions, entry to the vendor area was free, with coffee, chocolate, and wine stands and guided tastings at an extra cost, such as wine with chocolate or wine with cheese. For 2027 the festival's website gives only the dates. The venue, hours, and tasting prices have not been published, and the online store will open the Ajijic experiences starting December 1.
The same festival travels to other towns: it was in Tapalpa on October 3 and 4, and it comes to Pátzcuaro on November 14 and 15, 2026.
