About this event
The Cata Urbana de Calaveras (Urban Tasting of the Skulls) brings together the wine producers of Aguascalientes during the Festival Cultural de Calaveras, the state capital's Day of the Dead celebration. In 2026 it runs on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the Pabellón Vinos de Aguascalientes (Aguascalientes Wine Pavilion).
The state government's events portal, which lists it in the festival program, announces more than 20 wineries in one place, with music and food, and free admission. The list of wineries has not been published yet, and it is not clear whether tastings are charged separately.
It takes its name from the urban tastings the Aguascalientes Wine Route has held in the city's plazas and neighborhoods. The exact location of the pavilion has not been detailed, so check the official festival program before you go.
