The place

La Xampa brings to Condesa the custom of the xampanyerías (Catalan sparkling wine bars) of Barcelona. The bar serves cava and other sparkling wines from Catalonia, along with beer and other drinks, and the kitchen is mostly Spanish, with tapas to go with the glass. Sometimes there are tastings. On Tuesdays there is jazz, and on Sundays a generous paella comes out. It opens from lunchtime and closes in the small hours.
