The place
Almaliebre occupies a 49-acre (20-hectare) ranch in Ejido El Porvenir (an ejido is a farming community that holds its land in common), on the slopes of the Cañada de la Liebre, about 30 minutes from Ensenada. The land holds 12 acres (5 hectares) of vineyard, some 500 olive trees, and 27 acres (11 hectares) of nature reserve. The villas have air conditioning, terraces, and private bathrooms, and guests share the pool, the patio, and the picnic area. There is private parking and Wi-Fi. The wineries Las Nubes and El Cielo are close by, and Las Nubes is about a mile (1.5 km) along the same street. The feel is open country, with olive trees where a lobby would be.
