Content policy for listings, tastings, events and courses

In force since September 25, 2026.
- Truthfulness. Prices are per person, with taxes and in force. State what is included, how long it lasts, what days it is available and its conditions. We show the date of the last update.
- Alcoholic beverages (General Health Law, art. 308). Inform about the place, the experience, the characteristics and the making of the wine. The following is not allowed:
- presenting wine as healthy or as a source of well-being;
- associating it with success, sexuality, prestige, sports, work, home or civic or religious celebrations;
- using imperatives that invite drinking («Come and drink!»);
- promoting excessive consumption (open bar, «all you can drink», 2-for-1 glasses);
- showing images of people drinking or who look under 25;
- including minors.
- Legal age. Tastings, courses and events with consumption are only for people over 18. If a tour admits minors, say so and keep the tasting separate.
- Permits. The advertiser declares that it has its alcohol sales licenses, the event permits and, where applicable, the COFEPRIS advertising permit, and is responsible for its content.
- Courses. Certifications, endorsements or official validity (RVOE) are mentioned only with a number or a link that can be verified.
- Photos. They must be your own or licensed, with no people drinking, no minors and no third-party brands without permission.
- Review. We review everything before publishing it, in 2 business days at most. We may ask for changes or reject the content. If we reject a featured event before publishing it, we refund the payment.
- Withdrawal. We withdraw false or misleading content. If it is repeated, we suspend the plan according to the condiciones para anunciantes (in Spanish).
What you pay changes where you appear, never what we write about you: the winery's content is identified as «Information from» the winery, with its date, and paid places with the label of their plan: «Featured» or «Premium».
Photos in your reviews
In force since October 3, 2026 (version 2026-10-03). You accept it when you create your passport.
What applies to the photos you add to your reviews of wineries.
- Your photo. It must be yours or you must have permission from whoever took it. The photo remains yours.
- License. By uploading it you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license, for as long as it is published, to show it on ciudadesyvinos.com and on our social networks next to your public name.
- You can delete it. Delete it whenever you want from your account: it stops showing on the site, the license ends and we do not use it in new posts. If it appears in a post on our social networks, write to [email protected] and we will take it down.
- Review. A member of the team reviews each photo before it is published and may reject it with a reason. Rejecting a photo does not delete your review. Photos are shown next to your published review, only where reviews are shown.
- What is not allowed. Your photos cannot contain:
- identifiable people without their permission;
- minors;
- content that is not yours: photos from other sites, of the winery or of other people without their permission;
- watermarks or logos of third parties;
- anything that breaks the Community rules, such as inviting excessive drinking.
- Location. When you upload it we remove the location data (GPS) and the other metadata (EXIF) from the image, and we keep a new copy.
- Your level. Only reviews with a photo count toward your level: a published review with at least one approved photo.
