The place
Breakaway Tours has organized private wine tours on California's Central Coast since 1995, and from there it jumps to Baja with a small-group trip to Guadalupe Valley. The 2025 edition lasted four days, Tuesday to Friday, with between six and twelve people. The group starts in Ensenada with a lunch and a tequila experience, then spends two days in the valley with six wineries, private tastings, and vineyard tours. In all there are three lunches and three multi-course dinners, one of them paired with wine. The trip ends on the coast, in Puerto Nuevo, with a lobster lunch that is paid separately. Guests sleep at Hotel Los Amantes, with daily breakfast, a pool, a hot tub, and a fire pit. Transportation leaves from San Diego International Airport, with an English-speaking guide. It is a closed package for travelers from the United States who want to arrive without planning anything. The page lists the 2025 dates, so ask about the next edition.
