Editorial review · reviewed on October 11, 2026Pedro Poncelis came to wine through service. He began as a professional sommelier in 1997 and spent years teaching wine before he founded his own winery with his family in 2019. Punto y Aparte sits on the highway from Ensenada to Tecate, in El Sauzal de Rodríguez, and belongs to a group that also runs wine tourism and an online wine school.
Its doors open only to private groups with a reservation, for guided tastings that pair several wines with food and conversation about the region. The labels include two reds, Punto Uno and Punto Dos, the rosé Alesia, a Tempranillo, and a Pet Nat.
