The house

Ezio Martellotto and Claudia Melchum turned 10 acres (4 hectares) beside the Ensenada to Tecate highway, at the km 87 marker in Guadalupe Valley (Valle de Guadalupe), into a vineyard, a winery, and a home. Their stated philosophy is simple: bring the flavor of the grapes from their own vineyard to the glass.

In the cellar they offer tastings, guided tours of the facilities, and private tastings where they tell the story of the house. Among its wines is Tentación de Tintos. The hacienda also rents two suites with a terrace facing the vineyard, a kitchenette, and a private entrance, so the weekend can stay among the vines.
