Can they be bought? No.
Seals. They cannot be bought or require a plan, and they look the same on every profile.
Top Distinction. It cannot be bought or depend on a plan: no winery obtains it or keeps it by hiring anything.
How much do they cost? Nothing.
Founders' Plaque. The physical plaque is a gift: it costs the winery nothing.
Top Distinction. Each winner receives a physical plaque of the Distinction as a gift.
Replying, asking for reviews and reporting is included in all plans, also the Basic one.
What happens if I go down?
We calculate the seals every month and publish them on the second business day. A seal goes up in any month, except the Ícono (Icon) Seal, which is awarded every quarter, and it goes down only in the reviews of March, June, September and December. The stars change with every review: the seal says in which review it was confirmed.
If it goes down or is withdrawn, you stop using it within 30 calendar days in digital media and 90 in printed pieces already produced.
Can they take it away from me?
If we confirm that a winery manipulated reviews, we recalculate its seal without them. In serious cases we withdraw it, and it cannot hold one for 12 months. We do not publish names.
Top Distinction. It is withdrawn only if manipulation is confirmed in its period, and we say so publicly.
Can I offer something in exchange for a review? No.
Invite everyone who visits you, with the same message and after the visit. Do not offer anything in exchange or ask them to write at your winery.

And hotels, restaurants, tours and bars? Coming soon.
Today the seals and the Distinction are calculated only for wineries, because they are the businesses that receive reviews on Cities and Wines.
Is it an official seal? Yes.
Yes: the seals and the Top Distinction are the official recognitions of Cities and Wines of Mexico. The portal awards them according to visitors' opinions, in reviews that we look after rigorously so that they are truthful, and with the methodology in plain sight; no authority issues them.
Can I put the seal on my bottles? No.
It does not go on labels, packaging or containers of alcoholic beverages, nor is it used to suggest that it certifies the quality of the wine or that a government authority issues it. In your tasting room and your social networks, yes. It is used only while it is in force and always with its year.
Which reviews count? Do you verify visits?
The reviews that count for the stars: visits of the last 3 years, with no courtesy visits or people who work at another winery. They must also have been published for 14 days and come from accounts at least 30 days old. We do not verify visits: each author declares their own.
Since when does it count?
Seals: Methodology in force since November 28, 2026.
Top Distinction: Methodology in force since November 28, 2026.
