The house
On a Francisco Zarco ranch with more than a hundred years of history, a restored adobe house now serves as a hotel, and beside it stands an old vineyard. The house presents its Grenache as the product of vines about 65 years old in clay soil, aged 18 months in French oak barrels. Next to it the house works with Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
The tasting room has a bar and a view of the valley and opens Wednesday through Sunday. Tastings are booked online, and groups of more than four people must reserve. The lodging has just a few rooms, with breakfast, a fire pit, and space for events.
