The place
San Cosme Viñedos is in Cañón Buenavista, at km 29.5 of the Transpeninsular Highway, at the entrance to the ejido El Pípila, where the Antigua Ruta del Vino (the Old Wine Route) begins, south of Ensenada. From the start it has been mostly a place for weddings and large celebrations. The vineyard grows Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, and Sangiovese, and the house sells its own wine. That is a long list of grapes for a vineyard devoted mostly to celebrations. We could not confirm that it offers tastings. For dates, capacity, or a visit, the best route is to message its social media accounts or call.
