The place
Eight cabins face the hills from the km 93 marker of Mexico Highway 3, in Villa de Juárez, with direct access from the road. The Deluxe cabins measure about 335 square feet (31 sq m) and have a king bed, a minibar, air conditioning and heating, a rain shower, and a terrace. Outside are a garden, Wi-Fi, and parking, plus a fire-pit area, a terrace with swings, a common room with a swing, a rest gazebo, and an aviary. Pets are welcome. It is a base for couples who want a simple cabin and an early start to the day's tastings. Highway 3 crosses the valley and Coquenas sits right on it, with no dirt road in between. From Tijuana it is about 68 miles (109 km) along that highway, and from Ensenada, 23 miles (37 km). Reservations are by phone or email.
